This policy explains what information Johnson Creek Firearms LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use shop.johnsoncreekfirearms.com, place an order, sign up for deals, or interact with our social media pages, and how we use it. We are a federally licensed firearms dealer, so some records are kept because federal law requires them.
What we collect
- Order and account details: your name, email, mobile phone, state of residence, and the items you order. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Firearm transfer details: the licensed dealer (FFL) you choose to ship to, and the information needed to complete your purchase. ATF Form 4473 and the background check are completed in person, with us or at your chosen dealer.
- Deal sign-ups: the email or mobile number you give us, and your consent to receive texts if you give it.
- Age confirmation: when you confirm you are 18 or older, we record that you confirmed it and when.
- Site visits: pages viewed, the general area a visit comes from, and the kind of device and browser. Your cart is kept in your own browser.
- Messages: what you send us by email, text, or social media.
How we use it
- To process and fulfill orders, contact you about them, and arrange pickup or shipment to your dealer.
- To meet our legal duties as a licensed dealer, including federal record-keeping.
- To send deals and new arrivals if you asked for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text.
- To run, secure and improve the website.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share only what is needed:
- Distributors that supply and ship the items you order.
- The licensed dealer you choose for a firearm transfer.
- Payment processors, for payments made through them.
- Service providers that host our website, send our email, and run sign-in (for example Google).
- Government agencies when the law requires it, such as an ATF inspection or a valid legal request.
Social media
We post our products and specials to our Facebook, Instagram and other social media pages using those platforms' tools. Our posting tool uses only our own business accounts and does not collect information about people who view, like or comment on our posts. Information you share on those platforms is handled under each platform's own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for the order, taxes, and warranty questions. Records that federal firearms law requires us to keep are kept for the period the law requires. Deal sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Deleting your information
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, including anything connected to our Facebook or Instagram pages:
- Email us at the address on our contact page with the subject "Delete my data".
- Include the name, email or phone number you used with us.
- We will confirm and delete your account, deal sign-ups and messages within 30 days.
Records that federal law requires a licensed firearms dealer to keep cannot be deleted before that time is up. We'll tell you if any of your information falls under that.
Children
This site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use secure connections (HTTPS), limit staff access to what each person needs, and keep private records out of the public website.
